I'm Trevor Norman — a solo developer based in Australia. I build custom software for businesses and small interactive tools you can open like documents.

My commercial work centres on trade businesses: I own and run the software behind TPB Kitchens, a working kitchen-renovation company, and I've built manufacturing tooling like the HOK CNC cut-pack generator for other workshops. Building for a business I operate keeps me honest — every feature gets field-tested by real tradies before I'd ever pitch it to a client.

The open-source side is Stele — a runtime for single-file interactive artifacts, the kind of portable local-first software that hasn't really existed since Flash died. The artifacts on this site all run on it.

Around the edges: Bookd, a multi-tenant operations SaaS for kitchen businesses that customers configure by talking to Claude; Surprise Chef, a kitchen brain any AI can connect to; an endangered-language dictionary for Motu korikori (Papua New Guinea); and whatever else my family needs built that week.
